The Vision
A couple purchasing their first home in Chesapeake wanted to create a space where they could cook, entertain, and relax—all together. The original closed-off rooms made family time feel separate and disconnected.
Our Approach
We worked closely with them to design a welcoming, functional open concept layout. We:
Removed interior walls (with structural support) to connect the kitchen, and living areas
Installed durable, consistent flooring that flows throughout the space
Added a kitchen peninsula with white shaker cabinets, serving as both prep space and a gathering spot
Updated the lighting to brighten the entire area and add warmth
